Thought of the Day

I don't believe in morality, but I believe in ethical conduct as set out by His Holiness the Dalai Lama: "Ethical conduct = a way of behaving that respects others’ right to be happy".

i am back in one piece... jet lag has been tough but i am now back in shape and with loads of travel stories to share. i took so many pics that i need some time to re-arrange them. a visual taste of my trip is already available on facebook.

it's incredibly sunny and warm in london. i have started training for my race for life, going running every other day in the nearby recreational centre, and london social life has reclaimed me back very quickly. on friday i had a drink with franca and her husband (who is nientedimenoche the new london correspondent for RAI, in other words the *new capranica*) and yesterday night went out with a group of girlfriends and girlfriends of girlfriends. we played table football till the wee hours at the kick bar, which, we all agreed, felt like being away from the city. towards the end of the night, we moved on to another bar for more booze and then ended up in a private house party. we were literally passing by this house emanating loud music when our japanese mate shouted to the people at the window: "can we go? can we go?" (meaning, "can we come in?). detto fatto. they opened their doors to six cheery girls without hesitation. although it was an impressive flat, the party was a bit boring and so we left quite soon.
valentina defined last night a "magic power girl night". so, we decided to go out again soon for a *wig night*! more later...
