The Slug, by Anish Kapoor, is the work that most amazed me at his retrospective currently hosted at the Royal Academy of Arts. A shiny vulva (?) originates a wiggling tube resembling Laocoön's limbs -- an experience that repulsed while attracting the viewer. Laocoön and His Sons is a work that still troubles me a great deal for its theatrical expression of sorrow, while the sensuous red lips seem to hold a dangerous spellbound.
